PTSD

Post by alexdavid »

Two things. I have found that no contact is helpful in diminishing and getting rid of the PTSD. However, if some contact does occur - even indirectly- the PTSD resurges. Does this ever go away?

Secondly, quite paradoxically- and I’ve heard others say this as well regarding the case where the psychopath was the one who initiated no contact - some or indirect contact such as visiting places or hearing news gives PTSD but at the same time provides relief and a sense of healing. So this healing is often mixed or followed by PTSD.
As if the medicine is the poison and vice-versa.

What to do about this conundrum and is it possible to get out of the PTSD for good and not depend on contact/no contact?
